Code Geass,rip off of Death Note?

How you guys think about this? To me,i think that CG is very similar to DN not just by the story line but so as the characters. He's like the insane light kind and is often over confidence over something while Suzaku,i dont know who he like cos he's too naive,yes NAIVE to believe that he will be able to revenge with just his own power in the military. While C.C is like Ryuk,who gives the death note,or i mean geass to light or i mean lelouch. And Kallen is like misa,or Mikami who help lelouch to revenge,or as his puppet maybe?

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a rip off, but yeah, there are a number of similarities between the two.

Still, the tones of the two are way different, with DN being dark and almost gothic, and Code Geass is well... you get the idea.

What i should use other than rip off then? And bw,tbh,i dont like lelouch that much after i realized that he looks like light cos i hate light alooooooot! Light and lulu's fans,dont kill me!

its juz happen they have almost the same concept of justice
n code geass have those mecha while death note only have their note book

But that geass power can treat as a death note as when you control their mind,you can make them do whatever you want.
